This isolated barred spiral galaxy was discovered by Jérôme Eugène Coggia in 1877.

This image shows a bright nucleus, a substantial faint spindle-shaped bar and even fainter traces of spiral arms. A difficult object with a small aperture.

Diameter c.100,000ly. Distance c.75million ly. Apparent mag. 11.0.
