About this image

This was my first image of a galaxy group using my new RC10 telescope with some extended exposures. The data gathering experience was very enjoyable, using the automatic facilities of the NINA software. I kept an eye on my all-sky camera images to forewarn of approaching clouds and was able to use all of the sub-frames.

The repaired EQ8 mount performed flawlessly and produced consistent sub 0.3" r.m.s. tracking error in very quiet seeing.

Processing the data was fairly straightforward, using Pixinsight to produce RGB and luminance masters, which were then combined in Photoshop.
