About this image

The GRS with all sorts of activity surrounding it was amazing to see on 22/9/4.

The STRz Belt is dark and prominent preceding the GRS. The SEBs is divided into three dark belts with light zones between. Following the GRS is the usual turbulence that occurs. Over ten yeas ago I remember observing the reappearance of the turbulence after a SEB fade and outbreak. It was exciting to see the large ovals gradually reappear. Just south and preceding the GRS is a faint oval. Higher in latitude and following the GRS an oval on the STB is rotating into view. A small dark spot on the STRz following GRS also on the limb is seen.

The NEB is narrow on the Southern belt and is darker than the Northern component. A lone festoon on the CM. I’m sure there were others but with the seeing being variable I focused on other areas instead. A large on the NEBn is seen on the following side.
