Jupiter in excellent seeing

About this image
We had some exceptionally good seeing last night with seeing around AI - II for the entire session.  I have never before seen so much detail on Jupiter's disk- it was incredibly daunting to try and capture it all in the 12 minutes available (after this the rotation of the disk has moved the features too far from where they have been placed).  It does seem to me that this side of Jupiter seems to be getting more and more complex with two belts present in the STropZ.

I should comment on the observation of Ganymede.  As the seeing was so good, I decided to take a look at Ganymede at a power of x600.  The disk was a lovely golden colour and I was somewhat surprised to see a vague darker shading.  At the time of observation Ganymede subtends an apparent diameter of 1.84" so it seems unlikely that any detail could be resolved by the eye.  In all probability it was most likely to be some sort of contrast effect- however since I saw it and made a sketch I am including it here.
