About this image

This object is Callum's deep sky object for October.

This is the first time I've attempted to image a dwarf galaxy. Previously, I have been put off by the faintness of these objects and the discovery that the target barely registers in a test image with a short exposure so as not to saturate the brighter stars in the field. The key, of course, is to collect lots of data. An hour of data is barely long enough, but the galaxy comes up nicely.
