About this image

A smartphone picture of Jupiter as seen through Crayford Astro's Tinie Dobsonian telescope during the New Scientist Live event at Excel, London. Something like 1500 budding astronomers have had a chance to look through this telescope over the past three days and all of the BAA volunteers at the event have been run off their feet up with it all.

Janice McClean organised the BAA's contribution to NSL, Mark Radice 3D printed our model of Jupiter, Steve Goldson painted it, Steve Floodgate made the support and David Grist climbed onto a huge Agco combine harvester to put it up in our local sky.
