About this image

This small planetary nebula is the Deep Sky Section's 'Object of Interest' for November. It was discovered by the Scottish astronomer Williamina Fleming in 1906.

This image shows a slightly egg-shaped sphere of uniform brightness with little/no more detail after a 60-minute exposure than can be seen in the ten-minute exposure I took in January 2022.

Apparent size 12", apparent mag. 10.6.

Bortle 7/8. Moon waning gibbous 73%, 20 days old. Light cloud.
