About this image

Earlier today this 15th magnitude comet passed around 1 arc minute from Aldebaran. It is now around 10 arc mins from the star and is emerging from the stellar light pollution. The faint tail to the NW is just visible now. Aldebaran is 65 light years (4.1 million au) away and magnitude 0.8. The comet is 1.8 au away and magnitude 15.
