About this image

This bright geminid meteor was near the point where the three borders of Taurus, Cetus and Aries come together. It was just above xi and omicron Tauri. As bright as Mars (magnitude about -1.8) and similar in colour. Evidence in the picture that there is a ghostly train left by the meteor. Also of interest is that the trail has a wiggly structure (i.e. isn't straight).
