Exo-Planet Transits of 2022
About this image
This is a montage of exo-planet transits I've observed in 2022, (edit - I added a couple more over Christmas :-) ) it perhaps obviously doesn't include all the failures which were frequent and frustrating.
If you think you can't observe exo-planet transits with your equipment, then think again, telescopes as small as 4" are suitable, mine is 190mm (~8").
If You think you need an expensive CCD, then think again - all these were observed with a CMOS sensor.
If You think you need a dark site, then think again - I observe in the London Borough of Bexley (Bortle 8)

A lot can be discerned from these transits, for example the size of the planet, the orbital period and the geometry of the orbit with respect to the Earth and these are relatively easy to visualise, deeper inspection of the transit times can infer undiscovered planets in the system and possibly even Moons. However the main purpose of these observations is to improve published timings and refine orbital periods for ESA's Aerial Space Mission.
