About this image
Hello all I was able to image Comet C/2022 E3 ZTF last night 20230115_16 from Tarbatness Highland Scotland . The comet is now rising earlier in the morning sky and has an altitude of around 30 degrees at 02:30 UT when I took this image. An hour later we were covered by a heavy snow shower. The comet is brightening and the central condenstaion is more intense, the dust tail is becoming more aligned with the ion tail, which last night was not so bright as it has been on previous nights. The next month as the comet approaches earth will be interesting and we should get some good views and images with camera lenses and binoculars. Keep watching, comets can produce the unexpected suprise!
