About this image

There was a brief moon-free period this evening but this comet is now fading and moving away from us. The green coma and curving dust tail in PA 20 are both prominent but the ion tail is now very faint, at least for me in Chelmsford. Pushing the luminance channel really hard you can trace it around 1.8 degrees off the frame to the left. I get 5.8 for the comet's total magnitude now, around half a magnitude fainter than its peak.
