About this image

I had an Aurora alert from Aurora Watch around 21:32 on the 26th February. I went outside and took a few handheld shots to confirm that the aurora was visible, I could see red patches in the test images. So back indoors to pick up my camera tripod. Back outdoors and I took 8 second exposures at ISO1250. The display had faded from view 10 minutes later

This is the first time I've seen Aurora from home, we are a few seconds south of 51deg N.

The ghost image is the 31% Waxing Moon reflecting in the 14mm fisheye lens

The limit of the glow appears to be Beta Cas at 30deg Altitude in the North North West.
