I checked the BAA gallery just before going to bed and saw the two accounts of dim aurora in South England. So, after checking Aurorawatch still showed Amber (195nT) I tried a brief image from nearby.

I got a dim salmon/red glow. Theres no town in that direction for 10 miles, so I think I got a faint detection. Will keep an eye on Aurorawatch and see what happens.

EDIT: The Aurorawatch colour code went yellow less than 30 minutes later so I went to bed about 4am. Sounds like Scotland, Durham and Shropshire had a great time. Not at all jealous. Obviously.
