About this image

I'm rather late in observing our object of interest for February after being distracted by brighter, showier objects and aurora.

I managed to capture just 15 minutes of luminance data on this intriguing cluster of galaxies before the clouds arrived last night. There is very little image processing apart from calibration and a little noise reduction. Nevertheless, I'm pleased with what can be observed, especially the tiny galaxies peaking out from behind the magnitude 9 star just above IC 712. The image is a crop of the original.

I love this telescope.
