About this image

This newly-discovered comet is currently 7.2 au from the Sun, between Jupiter and Saturn, and it is heading in to a perihelion in late 2024 September when it will pass within Mercury's orbit. I get it to be mag 17.9 at the moment and slightly fuzzy compared to a star of the same magnitude.
