About this image

LDN 1622, more commonly known as "The Boogieman" is a large dark nebula located near to Barnard's Loop (top right) in Orion. Of interest is the reflection nebula Parsamian 3 (to the upper right of the dark cloud itself) also catalogued as Van den Bergh 62.

Image was taken in Winter 2021/22, and finished off in Dec 2022 and Jan 2023 (having struggled with transparency in the first round of imaging).

Taken from EEYE in Spain.
