That's really interesting Robin.  How do you expect the spectrum to evolve in the coming weeks/months as the density and temperature continue to decrease? I'm just curious to know what I might be able to see.

Hi Mike,

It depends on the subtype as to where it might go next. Alexei Filippenko's paper here gives a (perhaps a bit dated) overview. I would say there is a good chance it will develop some nice features over the next few weeks while it is still bright.

It seems to have had a rapid rise time and high luminosity compared with the average and from the early spectrum I wondered if it might be a type IIn but we will have to wait and see.
