1000 frames of which the best 250 selected; 16 bit .SER format. A second video with longer exposure time (39 ms) was taken to capture the prominence detail: same gain; 250 of 1000 frames. All processed with IRIS.

I tried to get some white light images of the sunspot groups using a 127mm f/15 Maksutov, but without success (the image was “boiling”). So, I was quite surprised (and puzzled) at the resolution obtained with the PST - even taking into account the much shorter focal length…
