About this image

Yep. I agree. This isn't a pretty picture. Its got stars, which is a good start, but thats about it as far as excitement goes. But it is a galaxy, albeit a rather dim and subtle spheroidal. The increased concentration of stars bottom left is it. Honest. Wikipedia has a picture. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ursa_Minor_Dwarf#/media/File:Ursa_Minor_Dwarf_-_Giuseppe_Donatiello.jpg

Its a few years since I seriously imaged a Local Group galaxy, but now my OAG is working again I thought I would give it a go in the non-dark nights of the summer. It was fun watching the sky background count sweep through its minimum. In the winter I imagine I may be able to use 900sec exposures without the light pollution messing everything up.
