About this image

Visually this was a stunning eclipse - totality very "sparkly" through binoculars with corona petals clearly visible as well as prominences and a loop. Images don't really do justice to what I, my wife Vivien and the other 9 people saw from this remote island location.

Due to a memory lapse departing from home, I ended up with a new camera, but couldn't get Eclipse Orchestrator to work with it. Hence no long exposures which would have brought out more detail in the corona. Still I was please to be able to get this stacked image in which the petals can just be seen.
