About this image

Original filters in Lunt B1200 had rusted so made use of the yellow filter (actual Calcium K filter) and combined it with a IR block and an Antlia 3nm UV filter and a Herschel wedge. This image was first light for the setup through my Helios 6" f/8 (stopped down to 100mm f/10 and objective lens elements are re-spaced to 3mm air gap) 1345 frame SER file recorded in Firecapture using QHY5III 178M,stacked in Autostakkert and processed in ImPPG and PS CS2.
