Title

Huge sunspot AR3363

About this image

The bright linear gap dividing the sunspot is known as a "light bridge." They often herald the break-up of a sunspot, with jets of plasma shooting up from the chasm as the sunspot decays. Today two connecting bridges are detectable thus now the sunspot is not exploding. A survey will be done to monitor eventual crack up. Image taken on July 11 2023 using a small telescope TMB 13 cm refractor and barlow 2x. The sunspot is huge sunspot.
