About this image

Yeah, its not bright, its not glitzy and it will never get on the front cover of Sky and Telescope, but it is interesting. A deep sky object that changes appearance on human timescales. Currently, PV Cephei is mag 17.4 and the nebula is dim, but theres more going on than a year ago and both star and nebula can be 4 magnitudes brighter!

I'm looking forward to seeing it bright again.
