Globular Clusters around M101

About this image

After reading a paper about globular clusters in M101, https://arxiv.org/pdf/1712.06650v1.pdf , I examined an image that I had taken in May of this year of the galaxy.  18 globular clusters were clearly identifiable, ringed in red, using the paper as a reference.  With a little more care I am sure that more would be identifiable.  At 21-million light years, it is good to be able to identify these ancient clusters in orbit around M101.
