About this image

I have re-worked the processing of this 14-hr exposure of NGC6888 to explore the potential of the PI plugin, RC Blur Exterminator, following the excellent 4-part guide by Nik Szymanek, in Astronomy Now.  I thought that result for the monochrome luminous component looked so dramatic I left it without adding the RGB data.  Image cropped to improve the composition and selective masks used to prevent the brightest areas of the nebulosity 'blowing out'.

Note: As the QHY268C is a one-shot-colour camera, the luminous image is a synthetic L channel created by combining the Ha (red) channels and Oiii (blue & green) channels.
