About this image

I have an 'early' cocoon taken in 2016, but things have moved on  (techniques and know-how) so it was worth a revist. Thus, this one is properly colour calibrated with the spectrophotometric color calibration tool in Pixinsight. This uses a GAIA database of spectra, together with a description of your 'instrument response' (Filters, and camera quantum efficiency as a function of wavelength) to calibrate using stars in this database found in your image. I have also used the new AI tools in PI (Blur Exterminator, Noise Exterminator).
