The waning gibbous Moon was rising as I took these images, so the contrast dropped off during the 90ins or so.

I tweaked the focuser again and adjusted the collimation earlier in the day. The images do seem sharper or perhaos the seeing was exceptional.

More importantly, it looks to me like the northern extension of the nebula is brightening - rather like it did at the start of the outburst about a decade ago and that the arc streaming toward the Herbig-Haro in the NNE, is firmer than it was too. 

Would be nice if someone could confirm this.

 

EDIT: Just checked. It was July 2010 that the nebula last looked like this. Longer than I thought...
