About this image

I have a problem with trees in the summer, so to image these low down objects in the summer sky takes some specific timing.

Anyway, often views (on a tripod) but not often imaged in my observatory is the lovely Omega Nebular.
Also known as the "Swan", when viewed through the eyepeice you see a swan!

Not visible in this image but if you turn the brightness down on the image and squint then its there.

Back in the real world this is a could of Hydrogen HII interstellar gas about 6000 lyr away, Illuminated by the stars of open cluster NGC 6618.
