About this image

The  catalogue created by Sidney Van den Bergh is often overlooked (certainly by me!) as a source of deep-sky targets. There are some beautiful neubulae in there. Many of the larger ones have more regular catalogue names. Simbad describes this one as GN 20.29.1 (Atlas of Galactic Nebula?).

There was an internal reflection artefact in the lower left edge which I have removed by working on the 'Star Exterminated' image (using clone stamp tool in PI) and then recombining.
