Back in the sixties, I had attempted Saturn imaging with a 10inch Newtonian and a 35mm film camera. This was very unrewarding. And ever since I renewed my interest, this time with a CMOS camera, the planet has always been so low from my site that the outcome has still not been much better. However, now that the planet achieves a much higher altitude [and I am a bit less incompetent] the results are much more encouraging. Still work to do before I can capture the rings crisply.
