A tropical night in Kent, with hot hazy skies.

But looking straight up at zenith was OK, and I found this lovely nebular and open cluster hanging nicely in view.

Not even looked at this before, let alone imaged. But it is a popular one for imagers with better kit than me. HST imaging team have often targeted this.

Slighly too high contrast on the image, but it helps show some lovely rivers of real colour and highlights the dust which is causing the dark bands.

Its actually all part of a huge dust and gas rich region, with the central regions forming an emission nebular, gas having been excited from hot young stars.

Yet another one to come back to in better conditions (or better kit)
