Title

NEW DISCOVERY: EkGo 3 and EkGo 4 - Two Possible Planetary Nebulae in Close Proximity

About this image

Another joint initiative by Team EkGo - myself and Sven Eklund.
While imaging PaJ1940.3+1855 and Kronberger 43 we spotted a couple of anomalies in the OIII data.  After deeper analysis these were identified as unconfirmed planetary nebulae. These have now been registered in our planetary nebula catalog on planetarynebulae.net as EkGo 3 and EkGo 4.  This simulatenous discovery of two possible planetary nebulae so close together is uncommon.
Captured using our remote telescopes in Spain.
