About this image

Mercury at western elongation and magnitude -0.45 although still slightly less than 50% illuminated. Conditions for imaging were fairly good, with a weak jet-stream and good transparency, although local seeing effects were troublesome at times. 20 videos of 10,000 frames were recorded, and 9000 frames were stacked and processed to make the image using PIPP, Autostakkert!3 and Registax 6. The main albedo features are a good match with a blurred WinJupos map.
