About this image

Got an alert from Sandra, but it was overcast so set an alarm. Woke to find rain just stopping and sky clearing with deep red glow on north horizon with clouds silhouetted - and theres no significant town in that direction for 15 miles.

I think I missed the peak but was pleased to get the after glow from 51N 2W.

Must have been stonking from Scotland.

I picked this up on my NW colour camera as a red glow through cloud from Chelmsford around 0200 UTC.
