12P/Pons-Brooks in outburst again

About this image

This comet has gone into outburst again and shows a similar shape to the previous two outbursts. This outburst was reported by Denis Buczynski on October 31 (see here) . Three days after the outburst the bright coma diameter is around 60 arc seconds and the total magnitude of the inner bright coma is 11.2. As is traditional for this comet there is a dark lane with horns on either side. This time around the dark lane is almost due north.
