About this image

I originally captured this data in January 2022 over 3-nights.  An Optolong L-eNhance filter was used to capture Ha and Oiii data and the image processed to create an HOO composite.  My original processing of the data caused IC410 to appear to be comprised entirely of Ha emission with little OIII.

I have now re-processed the data and colour-calibrated the emission nebula with more effective techniques in PixInsight to create this image that more accurately shows the Oiii emissions as well as the Ha.

I hope to get more data for IC410 in the new year.
