Title

Moon and Venus after the Occultation

About this image

A zoomed camera image of the Moon and Venus shortly after the end of the occultation of Venus this morning. Unfortunately it was cloudy for both disappearance and reappearance phases of the occultation, but this was taken about five minutes after the occultation end when the sky miraculously cleared. The difference in surface brightness of the Moon and Venus was very apparent, particularly when viewing with binoculars.
