About this image

It was a rather nice night last night. Cool - 5C by midnight - but comparatively low humidity.

As it gets dark so early at present I managed several variable stars, 144P, Abell72 (no great unfiltered) and NGC660 before midnight when, to my infinite  shame, I closed down due to getting little sleep the night before. But it was a good night.

NGC660 images nicely or did once I noticed I was capturing 5s images rather than 30s. Dumb. Was pleased to get the dark lanes quite clearly. They image better in colour as they are festooned with H-alpha regions as can be seen in the NGC660 images taken by McGovern and Goodhew - just search for NGC660. Well worth a look.

Back to the data reduction. I'm looking forward to seeing whether V1363 Cyg has faded further or if T Crb has started to erupt yet.
