"Hostless" Supernova SN 2023vxt

About this image

Supernova SN 2023vxt appears to be hostless with no obvious host galaxy visible in the guider image or in Digitized Sky Survey images.  This low resolution ALPY 200 spectrum (filtered to ~70A resolution to reduce the noise)  matches a type 1a near maximum brightness at 0.042 redshift (570 Mlyr)

Observed here just past maximum at g 18.6 r 18.1 (ZTF), this is among the faintest (and most distant) supernovae I have measured spectroscopically
