About this image

Pete comments that this is one of over 2000 images taken that night.  This was his second night at this location in the middle of nowhere, away from city/town light pollution. The first night was poor due to Bz sitting very far north the whole night – very frustrating as the sky was wonderfully clear. The winds were fierce though! The second night the sky remained clear, the wind dropped and the Bz swung south producing a wonderful display of the Aurora Borealis.  He further comments that he's been to this location many times and not failed to see the lights yet!
