About this image

Is this perhaps the most photogenic crater on the Moon? A complex crater similar to Copernicus, with fine central peaks and terracing, Langrenus at 132km in diameter is nearly 40km bigger than its better known rival. Elger described Copernicus as the grandest object on the Moon, but I suspect that if Langrenus were similarly located near the centre of the visible hemisphere it would outshine even Copernicus.
