About this image

Five days after its latest outburst ninth magnitude comet 12P/Pons-Brooks passes within half a degree of zero magnitude Vega. A large, green gas coma surrounds the smaller and brighter dust coma. The inset taken at the same time using an Edge HD 11 + ASI6200 shows the two horns with a dark lane between and light pollution from Vega.
