Title

The Doradus Challenge

About this image

Where my remote telescope is located, I have an open Bortle 2 southern horizon. Hence, I challenged myself to capture the furthest galaxy to the south. The Doradus cluster (NGC 1566), at Dec -55°, rises to a maximum of 5° above horizon only. I managed to capture 14 frames with a satisfying result of this beautiful southern hemisphere object.
