About this image

A reasonably deep (given its only 30s exposures) of McNeil's nebula. The nebula should lie just to the right of the close pair of stars near the image middle - but has been all but absent for years now. In this image there is something there but its faint.

Previously, I have only suspected a faint patch there, but this is the best view I have had of it. But, no sign at all of V1647 Ori at present.
