About this image

M42 is always a great object to try out performance.

I o have thottled back the 200mm RC with an 6.3 focal reducer (actually a meade model from an older SCT).

Happy with flat field but "note to self"  longer exposures saturate the CCD quickly with this set up. So the middle of the nebular is blown away - I should have used shorter subs. No dark no flat no post processing. Just seeing what an RC can do.
