About this image

Supernova SN2024bch in NGC3206. This is a Type IIn supernova that was discovered by Patrick Wiggins on the 29th Jan 24 at a magnitude of 15.5 and was last reported at Mag 13.0 on the 7th Feb 24. Due to heavy cloud I was unable to image it until the 4th Feb 24 but had to use a hydrogen alpha filter to "punch through" the cloud (visible, but data was poor). The above data was from an LRGB run with 52min per filter (3.4hr in total) processed in Pixinsight (SPCC/BlurXT/noiseXT/StarXT, starless image processed in Photoshop).
