About this image

A brief show if the northern lights - not really very visible to the naked eye but shows well on the camera.

For a while this was one of the darkest skies i've seen on Orkney - SQM 21.9 average on a 6 measurement run with the Unihedron meter.

Sadly after returning in and contemplating getting some kit out, it started to rain.
