About this image

Taken in summer 2023 from EEYE, this is a rendition of IC 5070, the Pelican Nebula, in SHO with RGB stars. I created the SHO part of the image by combining the SHO channels (with stars removed in PI using StarNet2), and then applying the Ha channel as luminance to the image to preserve detail. (S-II and O-III channels were taken in 2x2 binning).

The RGB stars were merged into the SHO image using PI's pixelmath with a "Max" function.
