About this image

Finally an evening with no cloud low in the northwest after days of annoying weather in Essex. Here is the business end of 12P showing a classic parabolic coma with ion tail rays emanating from the bright photocentre. The total mag is now brighter than 6 but it is too bright here to see it with the naked eye. An easy object in small binoculars though.
